I carefully examined the Magic Scroll I was carrying. It was a scroll of
Maverick's Demon Shield. To cast the spell ussing thia scroll write the order
'C' '8766' 'Target' or use a targetted HANDLE order. When cast at a target in
the same square as me, a shimmering purple shield appears over the target
protecting them from some forms of demonic attack and incursion for a time. The
spell requires 1 x Opal as an additional component. The spell is classified as

I carefully handle the Magic Scroll I was carrying. It was a scroll of Muscular
Compaction. To cast the spell using this scroll write the order `C' `8751'
`Target' or use a targeted HANDLE order. When cast at a target in the same or
adjacent square the target is crippled by severe muscular cramps throughout
their body. This effect usually lasts only until the end of the turn. This
spell is classified as an `Enchantment' Spell. You cannot equip a magic scroll,

chosen target. The fireball is a fiery mass of energy which must be aimed at a
target within 6 squares range. The fireball also has an area effect of 2

I carefully handle the Magic Scroll I was carrying. It was a scroll of
Reconstitution. To cast the spell using this scroll write the order `C' `7888'
`Target' where the target is in the same or an adjacent square. The spell has
been specifically designed to return a character who has been affected by the
DeConstituted condition to full health. It has a secondary effect of offering
some healing too. This spell is classified as an `Enchantment' Spell. You

ShBMP Magic Scroll {Shroomancy}
I carefully examined the Magic Scroll I was carrying. It was a Scroll of Black Mould Poultice. To cast the spell using this scroll write the order 'C' '8213' or use the
HANDLE order. This is a 'Shroomancy spell and can only be cast by a 'Shroomancer. This spell creates a Black Mould Poultice, which is a thick ointment which
can be applied to the skin. Once applied it works as a 'smart' healing ointment, healing 5 points of damage if a person is taken down by a potentially killing blow.
Only one of these poultices can be applied at any time and they do eventually rub off the skin and need reapplying, but are nevertheless a useful safety measure for
those in dangerous situations. Once you cast the spell the scroll will disappear. To make another scroll use the order 'X' '8213'. This spell is classified as a

ShFSC Magic Scroll {Shroomancy}
I carefully examined the Magic Scroll. It was a Scroll of Fine Spore Cloud. To cast the spell using this scroll write the order 'C' '8214' 'Target' or use the HANDLE
order. This is a 'Shroomancy spell and can only be cast by a 'Shroomancer. When cast at a living target in the same or an adjacent square the spell causes a cloud
of fungal spores to swirl about the victim, partially blinding them and confusing them. The effect lasts until the end of the turn. Once you cast the spell the scroll

I carefully examined the Magic Scroll. It was a Scroll of Mushrooms Of Madness. To cast the spell using this scroll write the order 'C' '8215' 'Target' or use the
HANDLE order. This is a 'Shroomancy spell and can only be cast by a 'Shroomancer. When cast at a living target in the same or an adjacent square the spell
causes tiny particles of hallucinogenic mushroom to fill the air around them. The result is that for the rest of the turn the victim suffers debilitating visions and

Enchanters who specialise in the obscure magic of time itself are known as Chronomancers. Each level of Chronomancy grants four new spells which can only be
cast by a Chronomancer of that level. Chronomancers can write copies of their specialist spells from memory and do not need an original to copy from. The four

PRE Magic Scroll (Chronomancy)
This is a magic scroll called 'Precognition' which can only be used by a specialist Chronomancer. When cast the spell allows you to peer through the chronal
pathways at possible outcomes in the very near future. This means you are better able to see your potential surroundings and better protected against the dangers

LTRe Magic Scroll (Chronomancy)
This is a magic scroll called 'Local Temporal Reversal' which can only be used by a specialist Chronomancer. This spell heals damage by the clever method of
reversing local time in the areas where the injuries lie, to a point where they did not exist. It can be hard for a layman to get their head around this, but they can't
argue with its effectiveness. The order to cast the spell is 'C' '8476' 'Target' or use the HANDLE order. The target must be in the same or an adjacent square. This

TiFl Magic Scroll (Chronomancy)
This is a magic scroll called 'Time Flux' which can only be used by a specialist Chronomancer. When cast the spell causes ripples in the fabric of time in the same
and an adjacent square which are extremely painful to anybody who isn't familiar with chronal workings. The spell can also have strange and unpredictable
consequences. The order to cast the spell is 'C' '8475' or use the HANDLE order. This spell is classified as a "Chronomancy" spell. No. Per Backpack Slot: 12 'Time Flux' 'X8475' 250 GPs.


LTAc Magic Scroll (Chronomancy)
This is a magic scroll called 'Local Temporal Acceleraton' which can only be used by a specialist Chronomancer. This unpleasant spell artificially ages the target
by ten years. The effects do eventually wear off, but it can take quite some time. Casting this spell on a citizen of Bereny is a serious crime. The order to cast the
spell is 'C' '8477' 'Target' or use the HANDLE order. The target must be in the same or an adjacent square. This spell is classified as a "Chronomancy" spell. 'Local Temporal Acceleraton' ' 'X' '8477' 500 GPs.


The four spells known by Level 2 Chronomancers, the order to make a copy of the scroll and the cost to do so are as follows:-

'Moment Of Death' 'X' '8479' 1000 GPs.

'Long Distance Travel' 'X' '8480' 100 GPs.

'Temporal Barrier' 'X' '8481' 250 GPs.

'Time Stop' ' 'X' '8482' 500 GPs.


This is a magic scroll called 'Moment Of Death' which can only be used by a specialist Chronomancer. This spell lets the caster see the moment of their death in advance of its actual occurence. The upshot of this is that, just before it happens, they may be able to avoid it. The spell stays active on the caster until the moment their health falls below zero and then triggers, healing them 9 points. If that saves their life, then Moment Of Death has served its function. This is a magic scroll called 'Long Distance Travel' which can only be used by a specialist Chronomancer. This spell lets the mage travel extremely long distances very quickly by stepping outside of time for the duration of the journey. The mage must have a person at the far end of the journey as an anchor for the spell. The order to cast the spell is 'C' '8480' 'Target' or use the HANDLE order. This is a magic scroll called 'Temporal Barrier' which can only be used by a specialist Chronomancer. This powerful spell surrounds the caster and every adventurer in the same square as the caster in a chronal barrier, a wall of pure time which absorbs physical damage. For the duration of the turn those affected cannot move out of the square. The order to cast the spell is 'C' '8481' or use the HANDLE order. This spell is classified as a "Chronomancy" spell. This is a magic scroll called 'Time Stop' which can only be used by a specialist Chronomancer. This spell moves takes the caster 'out of time' until the end of the turn. The rest of the world continues on but the caster is no part of their continuity. At the end of the turn they snap back into reality at full health and free of most maladies...Casting this spell eats 200 experience points. The order to cast the spell is 'C' '8482' or use the HANDLE order. A side effect of this spell is that teleport markers are set to the point where Time Stop was cast.
